This Jan Brett Author Study unit contains everything you need (besides the books!) for some great winter activities! All of the activities are aligned to Kindergarten and 1st grade Common Core Standards, but could well be used in Pre-K or 2nd grade as well. The focus of this author study surrounds Jan's "wintery" titles: The Mitten, The Three Snow Bears, The Hat, and The Gingerbread Baby. Tons of materials are included for differentiation in case you want to compare/contrast/map any of her other titles.
