What educators are saying
I love this activity. It is great for younger and older kids to use to target a variety of language and articulation skills. Great activity for mixed speech and language groups.
This is a great resource to use to grow my student's imagination when it comes to their illustrations.
Description
These 25 open-ended drawing prompts range from basic shapes to abstract lines to engage your students' creativity and critical thinking skills! Use them as a drawing warmup, mindfulness activity, or for early finishers. These are perfect for any art class, and can be paired with Antoinette Portis' book Not a Box for a literacy connection. My K-1 students loved these challenges, and they could easily be implemented up to high-school grades depending on the level of depth you encourage. As an art-teacher turned kindergarten-teacher, I was so proud to see my students' creative minds at work as we completed these each week. I hope your students love them too! Happy teaching!
