Description
This is a 35 page bundle with activities for all language learner levels. The bundle includes a vocabulary page consisting of two sections: words pertaining to Valentine's Day, and matrimony and Romeo and Giulietta. Two practice vocabulary sections follow. For upper level students there is a comparative art writing section, two options (two comparisons (between two different paintings, 4 total) of Romeo and Giulietta), for presentational writing. For beginning language learners, level 1, there is a writing activity in which students compare Romeo and Giulietta using words of physical description and clothing. The last section consists of two upper level readings on Romeo and Giulietta, from two sources (works cited, link included).
Valentine’s Day Writing Prompt Suggestions (materials and links included in bundle)
1) Research the “locks” Ponte Milvio, Rome, and write a presentation in Italian explaining your findings
2) Research the “Tre Metri” Florence, Italy and France, ecc., and write a presentation in Italian explaining your findings.
3) Write a love dilemma as a class and write to Juliet via internet.

6) Create and design a DVD cover for the film “Letters to Juliet” with Italian subtitles
7) Write a movie review for the film “Letters to Juliet”
8) Research St. Valentine, write a summary in Italian of your findings.
9) Arrange students’ desks into a large circle in the classroom, give each student a hearts worksheet (including teacher), write a comment or compliment to a classmate in a heart (include his/her name) and pass the papers to the right (i.e. mi piacciono i tuoi occhi / grazie per essere un bravo compagno / sei molto simpatico(a)).
10) Create an original “traditional” Valentine’s Day Card in Italian.
