Description
A collection of nonfiction passages explaining the origin of Irish myths and tall tales. Included are high interest passages on leprechauns, the horseshoe, the pot of gold, and the shamrock. Each passage has a corresponding printable that covers reading skills (CCSS). There is a semantic gradient activity to accompany two passages and SQ3R activity for a third passage. Lesson plans, suggestions and answer keys are also included. A week long unit designed to engage students while using strategies to improve students' comprehension and reading skills.
