Description

In a world where reading is pushed so hard on students that many are losing their love of reading it is IMPORTANT to give them opportunities to read that are fun. Reader's Theater does this. In this package I have placed 6 Reader's Theaters. Each one has been written for Saint Patrick's Day but can be formed at any time. The names of the reader's theaters are Fair, Brown and Trembling - Jack Fox & the Leprechaun – Leprechauns, Rainbows, and Saint Patrick's Day - Not Every Rainbow has a Pot of Gold – The Legend of Finn MacCool - and lastly The Three Wishes.

They are all written for groups of 3 to 5 people. You can buy these individual Reader's Theaters on my site for $2 a piece OR you can buy all 6 here for $8. This will save you $4. A sort of buy 4 get 2 free deal. I use reader's theaters to encourage my students to practice fluency. It is a fun way to do something that they need. Most of my scripts are in black and white so they photo copy easily. This one does have a colored picture on the first page but the rest is black and white. The problem with many other reader's theaters is that students spend a lot of time waiting for their part. When you have a small group they get more practice in and less off task behaviors take place. My name is Melanie Whitesides but I my store name is Wonbyone and I hope that your students enjoy this script as much as mine did. Let me know how things go!
