Description
This is a GREAT inquiry project for students to enhance their understanding of density.
Students can work individually or in groups to design a life jacket that will float an object. This is a hands-on activity where students get to choose building materials, calculate the cost of materials, and predict whether their designs will work. The best part happens at the end when students get to test their designs in front of the class to see if their life jackets float!
