Description
This Miami webquest includes both activities to complete in Spanish and English. It is perfect for a Level 1 or Level 2 class.
The activities include the following:
- Piensa: Students will answer questions in English to activate prior knowledge of Miami, Florida and determine what they want to learn.
- Indentifica: Students will translate relevant vocabulary using www.spanishdict.com from English to Spanish.
- Analiza: Students will view authentic photos of Miami, Florida to analyze the Cuban influence in the city. They will answer questions about what they see in Spanish.
- Explora: Students will use linked resources to explore a video of Calle Ocho, a map of the city with activities to do, and a novice level reading related to basic information about Miami. They will describe their findings in English.
- Check-out: Students will answer questions about what they learned and how Miami compares to their community in Spanish.
The format is a Google Doc, so it is extremely easy to post on Google Classroom and have students work independently.
