Generalizations:

1. Information as to how animals are physically related to their environment can be gained by closely examining animal signs.

2. The carrying capacity of an area will depend upon the particular needs of the species within that environment and the volume of resources within that environment to meet those needs.

Objectives:

1. Students will be able to recognize signs of selected animals such as tracks, food, cuttings and scats. Thus they will be able to identify the various animals that make their home on the school grounds.

2. Students will be able to describe some of the environmental factors necessary for the existence of selected animals.
