What educators are saying

Very helpful teacher notes in the powerpoint, great instructions and encourages students to really think about who they are making content for and how to keep it interesting when they can't slap a video on it
This was SUCH an awesome resource - I used this with my students as a final project to wrap up the year, and it was just perfect! Thank you!

Description

There are 4 main units in their course and that move from simply introducing podcasts to creating and publishing your own. It's intended for use with Google Classroom or other online platforms and is perfect for at-home or remote learning. Full of video tutorials, screenshots, and other "how-to's" it makes it easy for both the student AND the teacher to master this content.

I taught this unit as a 5 week daily elective for 7th & 8th graders but it can be easily modified to suit your needs. The goal of the course is that students create an original podcast using a (FREE) online program with the option of publishing it (Spotify).

One of the most buzz-worthy words you hear thrown around "21st-century education" is Podcasting. It is simultaneously one of the most desired areas and one of the most intimidating. However, with a little practice, anyone can produce great original work using these tools. These lessons and materials can be used as a self-contained course or as part of a larger unit. If you have access to tech and the internet in your classrooms, then I would definitely give podcasting a try!
