Introduction to First Aid

Use this supplemental resource to help introduce the contents of a First Aid Kit to your students as well as basic first aid for simple wounds.

Contents Include:

Picture & Word Cards – You can use these cards as visuals to introduce your students to some of the items in a First Aid Kit. These cards also work great for Learning Centers or hands-on learning.

- alcohol pad

- bandages

- butterfly bandages

- instant cold pack

- gauze wrapping

- gauze pad

- gloves

- antiseptic (hydrogen peroxide)

- antibiotic ointment

- scissors

- tape

- tweezers

Task Cards – Print the task cards and answers back-to-back on card stock. Laminate for added protection. Use the Picture Cards as answers to the Task Cards. Each task card presents a scenario and asks what item(s) should be used. Students can use the Picture Cards to determine what their answer will be.

Worksheets – 2 worksheets (color and b&w) are provided for review or assessment. Answers included.
