Description

This product includes a power point with maps, charts, graphs and editorial cartoons designed to serve as an intro to Africa. The following types of maps, charts, graphs, etc. will be used: political, topography, vegetation, literacy, life expectancy, colonialism, population density, endangered African species, governance, fertility rates and more.

I include a 6 sided notes sheet which corresponds to the slides. This product can be easily amended to either raise or modify the level, and to differentiate depending on the make-up of your class. The product lends itself to students working in pairs and triplets as they analyze the information. In the process of going through the slides, the students will internalize the locations of many African countries.

If you like my style and substance, check out my other 75 products on TpT at my TpT "store": 21st Century Global Studies. See my profile so as to ascertain my credibility, but I'll just mention that I was named Rhode Island Social Studies teacher of the year in 1997.
