Description

What are the competing arguments in the Nature v. Nurture debate? Nature or Nurture has always been a fundamental question in the study of psychology and continues to be heavily researched by experimenters and psychologists today. By way of an online scavenger hunt and online avatar creating site, students will demonstrate their profound knowledge of this essential debate in psychology.

Students will do the following during this lesson:

1) Respond to a Bell Ringer that ask them to consider whether they are more heavily influenced by the parenting or the the genetics they received.

2) Watch a fascinating six minute video clip that explores the Nature v. Nurture debate through two thought-provoking experiments.

3) Conduct an online scavenger hunt with a partner for arguments on both sides of the Nature v. Nurture debate.

4) Create an online video avatar displaying the arguments for one side of the Nature v. Nurture debate while their partner creates another for the opposite side.
