Intro to Psych: Creating An Online Day Care Center Project

How do you create a developmentally appropriate day care center? Using both Piaget's & Erikson's stages of Cognitive and Psychosocial Development, students will have a blast creating a professional looking online day care center in this project!

Throughout the lesson students will:

1) Respond to a Bell Ringer that asks students to analyze a video clip of a boy who was raised in a chicken pen and determine what stages of development he has successfully gone through.

2) Participate in a photo gallery game in which students match up child care images with the developmental stage that best applies.

3) Sketch two drawings of how they interpret two of Erikson's or Piaget's stages and have another student decipher their drawings.

4) Create an online day care center that are based off of Erikson's and Piaget's stages of development.
