Description

As a teacher, wouldn't you like your students to come in and go straight into work mode? Well, this bell ringer (aka warm up, aka bell work, aka do nows) is a great interactive activity for your students!

This step by step EDITABLE Google slide/PowerPoint tutorial is perfect for student led or teacher led.

(Original format is Google Slide, but you can easily convert this to a PowerPoint if you feel more comfortable with it. Tutorial in Google Drive)

All 15 exercises are Adobe Photoshop activities focused on the foundations of the tools and art concepts. Answer sheets are included.

Concepts include:

✽ drag and drop photoshop tools

✽ what does each tool do?

✽ learning hot keys

✽ matching hot keys

✽ learning brush settings

✽ learning lasso tool definitions

✽ learning about layers panel

✽ liquify tool

✽ how to create a custom paint brush

bonus - 3 principle of design slides (emphasis, proportion, balance)

✽ 1 Video - How to convert Google Slide into Powerpoint

What works best is providing students a "Digital workbook" at the beginning of the school year. Basically, they have a blank Google Slide (I actually have them decorate it on the first day of school), and then I will share a Digital Art Bell Ringer slide through schoology, google classroom, or whatever platform you teach with your students! Then they copy and paste the bell ringer slide into their own and then complete the activity.

Once they are done, I will go over the answers with them. I like to grade these so that

1.) they are completing them and

2.) they learn tools that they probably didn't know about, and then use them in their projects!

✽ TERMS OF USE

These files ARE NOT to be resold in any DIGITAL FORMAT. You MAY NOT share, gift, give away for free, distribute in any way or form, or claim these designs as your own.
