Into the Woods

Since the new movie has come out, I thought it was time for a lesson plan for Stephen Sondheim and Into the Woods. Although the movie is different from the stage version, I am pleased that it is rated PG and accessible to my middle school students. Hope you enjoy sharing it with your students.

If you’re leading the PowerPoint yourself, you might want recordings of “Broadway Baby” and “On the Steps of the Palace.” (Careful: film version 2014 of “On the Steps of the Palace” is slightly different than original Broadway cast recording.)
