Description
Into reading HMH Womens History Great American Women
Use this quiz to assess students' knowledge on women who have influenced American history (Grades 3–5). Students should switch papers with a partner after completing the question. Present the solutions so that they can review each other's work.
Then give two huge index cards, each with the name of a different powerful woman printed on the front, to each pair. Women listed in the book Finish the Fight: The Brave and Revolutionary Women Who Fought for the Right to Vote or those highlighted in the exam might be included. The book concentrates on lesser-known Native American, Asian, Black, and Hispanic individuals who were disregarded but played a crucial role in ratification. View an example chapter.
Instruct pupils to do study on the women, to illustrate each woman's photo next to her name, and writing a statement explaining each woman's background and one of her achievements on the back of each word. Store the completed cards in your classroom library or a language arts center.
