This MP3 file is the perfect companion to any stations you may use, keeping track of time for you and signaling students to rotate automatically.

The 30-10 interval works well for stations.

Students work at one station until the music stops. The 10 seconds of silence prompts them to move to the next station and gives them time to get to the next station and get ready to begin the new activity when the music resumes.

This interval features music by Jason Shaw found on the Free Music Archive website under the creative commons license 3.0. The only change I made to the original was to add the 10 seconds of silence, signaling for your students to rotate, and then Jason’s music picks up right where it left off at the end of the 10 seconds. Due to the terms of this license, I have to mention that the title to this song is officially “Big Car Theft” however, please rest assured, this is simply upbeat music with no lyrics and will not encourage your students toward this behavior in any way.
