What educators are saying

Great product for a lower-level senior class. Lots of inferences and thoughtful work for students. Highly recommend!
Love this resource! I really enjoy showing Interstellar to my students at the end of the year and this resources keep everyone engaged.
Also included in
  1. This is a bundle of my 10-day thematic film units. All of the units are cross-curricular and range from $10 to $15. There are a couple of assignments that are used in a few of different movie units, so the bundle is much cheaper than it normally would be as a result. Thank you!Tomorrow's Education

Description

This is a 10-day Literacy and Science unit based on the movie "Interstellar." The unit deals with the concepts of space exploration, our solar system, gravity, wormholes and black holes, aging in space, protecting our planet and environment, and the potential of other habitable planets.

As far as activities and assignments go, the unit includes creative writing assignments, persuasive writing assignments, predictions and critical thinking (during the movie), an exo-planet research project, and an editing checklist. These can be done either on computers or hand-written.

While the unit is primarily focused on literacy and science, there are some elements of geography and math as well that make the unit cross-curricular. Included in the purchase are:

  1. Google Doc (shared) with the teacher outline, predictions, editing checklist, and curriculum expectations (Ontario curriculum, but can be related to all North American curriculum)
  2. Google Slides (shared) to show your students
  3. Video files
