Description
This download is for an internet activity/"scavenger hunt," for which the students will utilize a 3D diagram of the brain and identify various parts. They will be directed to use the webpage available here: https://www.brainfacts.org/3d-brain#intro=true. Please check the link and make sure it's working before purchasing!
The worksheet is three pages and has a total of 25 questions about the brain, its parts and its functions (20 questions and 5 "challenge questions" for which they will need to look harder to find the answers. They might find the answers to the challenge questions on the website, but I would recommend they use their internet skills).
The website offers a wealth of in-depth information, as well as 3-D depictions of different parts of the brain. Students will learn about include the frontal lobe, occipital lobe, cerebellum, temporal lobe, medulla oblongata, hypothalamus, pons, midbrain, and more. This typically takes one class period in my experience, and it can be useful in psychology or an anatomy class. Can be used as a in-class activity or as homework if you like.
Your download includes:
* 3-page student worksheet in editable doc form
* Student worksheet in a ready-to-print pdf form
* 3-page answer key in doc form
