What educators are saying

This is an easy way to review math skills and provide practice on what is taught. It is easy to put together and quick to do with the class.
These math prompts were great for the small amount of time that I had to do math with my students. They were simple enough for all students to understand!

Description

Dear Teacher,

This unit is perfect for your little Pre-K Mathematicians. Start the year out by introducing Math Journals like you would any other activity. Procedures and expectations should be in place before you begin. You might even consider doing these in small groups a few times a week. It’s up to you. YOU are the teacher and YOU know your students! Later in the year they might be able to do these every day. A math journal is the perfect documentation of student mastery, growth and learning. Students will also take more pride and ownership of their learning when using a math journal. The following pages are some examples of what their math journal might look like. Then, there are over 100 math prompts to match all the Math Pre-K Standards and some thematic prompts as well..

Enjoy!
