Description
Marty’s Baseball Museum-Addition and Subtraction bundle is a bundle of interactive games created for use with Google Slides and/or Adobe PDF Reader to help students practice addition and subtraction facts and provide teachers an opportunity to assess students in the process.
While practicing their math skills, students learn about "America’s Greatest past time", Baseball in the process. Students travel through three scenes in the museum and click on different objects/people to get addition or subtraction facts to practice. When they get it correct, they learn an interesting fact about baseball.
While they are in the museum, the find out that Marty has lost the MVP trophies throughout the museum that give students a second turn! This will gives your students ample opportunities to practice their math skills.
When designing this product, I was thinking of how my own students love to take turns playing games in my class. They can’t get enough of it and always want “another turn.” This product has plenty of opportunities for students to have several turns during one class, or over several class periods.
This game can be projected for a class to play at once or used on an iPad or tablet for individual for small group/center play. It can be assigned through Google Classroom as a way to practice skills independently. It takes the place of flash cards! It is great for differentiation of instruction!
This set is dedicated to my dad, Marty and his love of baseball and was released on the Red Sox’ Opening Day 2017!
Linked to Grade 1 and 2 Common Core Mathematics, students are given over 50 equations to answer. This is a great review activity to play any time of year! It also helps students (especially second language learners) develop language skills and vocabulary development. But, most importantly, it provides lots of fun while learning about Math! LOTS of content here! I hope your students enjoy Marty's Baseball Museum as much as my students have!
