Description

Compatible for Apple & Android devices! These QR codes can send an individualized email within seconds. Use them to create personalized communication methods in your classroom!

IMPORTANT: This product uses "Mail Merge" to create these QR codes. If the provided directions do not match the version of Word that you use, please notify me through the Q&A section of this product and I will walk you through the process!
------------------------------------

Managing home communication is difficult, especially when a teacher has multiple classes of several different grade levels. Keeping a written communication system with parents can become tedious as behavior logs get “lost” and are never seen by a parent.

In an effort to streamline parent communication regarding missing assignments, recurrent behaviors, and the like, I created these email QR codes. When scanned, a personalized email will appear on my device, ready to be sent to that student’s parent.

Because the emails share a common subject line, I can easily search back in my “Sent” emails to reference the date that a student missed an assignment or showed a certain behavior. Parents appreciate the immediate notification, and students grow in accountability for their behavior and assignments. Fortunately, the need for the QR codes always decreases as the year goes on!

IMPORTANT: Before you begin, make sure you have a compatible QR scanning application.
NOT ALL QR SCANNING APPS WILL SUPPORT THESE TYPES OF QR CODES.

Use your iPhone/iPad camera: If you have an iPhone or iPad that runs iOs 11 (or higher), you can simply use your iPhone camera! More directions regarding this option can be found later in this resource.

Download the App “QR Square”: This app is one of the few free QR scanners that will correctly read these QR codes.

If you are using an Android device, please reference the “Alternative Methods” page of this resource.
