Insights in Initiative

"Insights into Initiative" includes a video link to a clip that provide examples of ways to grow initiave. The script of the video is included as well as the video is available in closed caption. There are also classroom discussion questions. There are seven activities/assignments that focus on the character trait of initiative as well as a key. Activities/assignments can be completed by individuals or used in small student groups. This activity packet is a great way to encourage and stress intitiative. Intiative can be applied to most any subject area and is also needed throughout one's life whether at home or at work. This packet can be used by teachers that are teaching career preparation and/or character education. It can also be used by substitute teachers as a lesson. The importance and application of intiative can not be stressed too much and this packet will be a start in helping students process how to grow the trait.
