"Inside Islam" Video Guide

This is a 20-question video guide that follows along with the History Channel documentary titled "Inside Islam". The entire documentary is approximately 100 minutes so it is an ideal way to supplement a unit of study on the Rise of Islam and/or the religion of Islam. The twenty questions go in order of the video and include simple answers that students only need to listen for as well as questions that require them to do some extended thinking about the topics covered in the video.

The documentary can be viewed in its entirety on youtube and begins with an overview of Islam today and then tells the story of its foundations, beginning with the life and teachings of Muhammad and following the story of the spread of Islam during the 7th, 8th and 9th centuries. The video also covers such topics as the Kaaba, the Qur'an, the Crusades, and the importance of the Hijra.
