Insert Parentheses Lesson and Worksheet Bundle

This bundle is a lesson plan and worksheet. The lesson is an excellent lesson AFTER you've taught order of operations.(See Order of Operations lesson 2.4) This is a great lesson that allows you to reinforce the correct order of operations as student are challenged to insert parentheses into an expression so it will simplify to the given answer.

• This lesson begins with 4 unique warm-up problems that help students understand how placing parentheses in different places can change the answer.
• The warm-up problems are followed by an example that explains the step-by-step process of how to determine where parentheses should go.
• The lesson concludes with 6 problems that can be used as further examples, OR you can use as a check for understanding before assignment homework.

The worksheet contains 10 problems for students to do on their own as homework/independent practice.
