Self-Esteem is an important aspect of overall mental health and well-being. It is the way we perceive and evaluate ourselves, and it can have a significant impact on our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Body Image is closely related to self-esteem, as it involves how we see and feel about our physical appearance. Students will explore the concepts of self-esteem and body image, and how they relate to each other. They will also consider the various factors that can influence self-esteem and body image, including societal expectations, media messages, and personal experiences.
In this project, students are given a general overview of how inquiry projects work, and are then set loose to dive into an authentic research process. At the end, they are given the option of presenting in one of four different modes: A presentation, a podcast, a documentary film, or an essay.
