Description
Depression is a mental illness that has come more and more into the spotlight when talking about school aged students. Where teens used to be seen as naturally moody and temperamental, we now know that depression is serious illness that needs direct, and sometimes medical, interventions. There are a few important things to remember about depression, not the least of which is that it’s quite common and also quite treatable.
In this project, students are given a general overview of how inquiry projects work, and are then set loose to dive into an authentic research process. At the end, they are given the option of presenting in one of four different modes: A presentation, a podcast, a documentary film, or an essay.
