This product provides teachers with an entire semester (TWO 9 WEEKS) of ENGINEERING innovative/growth mindset related journal prompts in an organized and focused way. The 20 worksheets are organized by weeks with Monday through Friday entries each page. Students will strengthen their writing and critical thinking skills with these unique, higher level thinking bell ringers.

This resource covers:

✏ 100 unique STEM/ENGINEERING bell ringer prompts

MONDAYS: Interesting Engineering Fun Facts of the Day. Students are given a short story and prompted to respond in RACE strategy format that includes EVIDENCE in their answer.

TUESDAYS: Engineering Vocabulary: 20 Engineering vocabulary terms that every middle and high school student should know before graduating. Students google search the definition and use the word in a real-world example.

WEDNESDAY: Google Challenge Prompt: Students will practice their Informational Searching skills with a quick search on a famous engineer and what engineering contribution they were known for.

THURSDAYS: STEM GROWTH QUOTE from a Famous inspiration: Quotes from 20 historically famous individuals that demonstrate an innovative growth mindset. Students will read, analyze the meaning of the quote, and how it relates to an "innovative growth mindset".

FRIDAYS: Reflect & Write Critical Thinking Prompts: 20 prompts designed to help students think critically about their actions and choices in life. They specifically relate to perseverance, effort, and resiliency, challenges and improving themselves as a student. Several have short passages that expand on the topic and prompt them to use the RACE strategy to support their answer with EVIDENCE!
