Informational Writing | All About Writing Templates With Grading Rubrics

You are downloading my go-to writing templates for All About writing! Collecting a grade for writing has always been a struggle for me. I added my rubrics to the back of these books to make it easier for me to grade them. The additional benefits have been wonderful! My students use the rubrics to check their work while they write and parents love them because they understand how their child's writing grade is calculated.

What's Included?

• Writing Book Templates:

My templates include two book versions. One geared towards second graders where students write three facts about their topic and an elaboration for each fact. The other template is geared towards first graders. This second template requires students to write three facts with no elaborations.

• Book Marks | Checklists

These checklist bookmarks have been helpful for my students. I like to mix up my writing instruction. When my students use their notebooks during writer's workshop, they don't have the rubrics to guide them. These checklists are perfect to use during this time. I just laminate a set and my kids check off each part of their All About as they write.

• Anchor Chart

A bonus anchor chart template has been added! Detailed printing directions are included so that you can print it as a poster with your home printer. Use this poster to record things they already know so much about!

• Primary Lines Version

I received requests for a version of these books with primary lines and they have been added!
