Infographic Nonfiction Science Mats: BIOMES

This unique product is in answer to a problem I had in my own classroom. I needed differentiated text to use in my reading, math, AND science workshops. It is meant to be printed in color ON 11"X17" card stock and consists of 7 infographic mats. Each mat is about a specific biome and includes information like fascinating facts, precipitation data via a graph, temperature data, photographic information about plants and animals, and a mapping component that shows the latitudinal range for that specific biome. Teacher notes and a Glossary Mat are also included.

Use these for small group instruction in math and reading workshops. They're also perfect to supplement your science environmental studies. I've listed the biomes below, along with the approximate Lexile level for each mat. Enjoy!
