What educators are saying
I really like this resource and the way that it is laid out. I would just like to know if I can get answer keys for the quizzes and activities, as well as the guided notes. Thanks so much.

My students loved using this resource! They were more engaged while taking notes, and were able to recall the information more readily than with other resources we have used.

Guided Notes - Diseases
Description
This bundle includes 6 products and one week of content focusing on infectious and noninfectious diseases! With this bundle, you'll receive:
- PowerPoint presentation - This presentation explores infectious and noninfectious diseases that impact humans. It starts by introducing diseases and then comparing and contrasting the causes of infectious and noninfectious diseases. Next, the presentation outlines the cause and symptoms of 8 common infectious diseases (cold, influenza, Athlete's Foot, AIDS, strep throat, pneumonia, tetanus, and malaria). Last, the presentation outlines the cause and symptoms of 8 common noninfectious diseases (Diabetes, allergies, Parkinson's, skin cancer, asthma, arthritis, MS, and heart diseases). There are a total of 124-slides. Slides contain information for guided notes with images, links to relevant BrainPOP videos, and several review questions throughout for checking understanding. Please note: This was originally created as a Flipchart, so the PPT version is a conversion. It is essentially images, but you still have the ability to edit by simply adding text boxes wherever you need.
- Guided Notes that accompany the presentations as a free bonus item. The file is 8-pages long with the guided notes, word scramble activities, a crossword, and something I created called "Dr. Health E. Body." I know, it's cheesy, but this is set up as letters written to a doctor, asking for help with diagnosing something. The students enjoyed pretending to be doctors and trying to figure out the diseases, so I added that to the end.
- Two CLOZE Reading assignments that reinforce critical concepts and vocabulary, build reading comprehension and stamina, develop context clues skills, and also expand their language and fluency skills. CLOZE reads are especially helpful for struggling readers and ESOL students.
- Two quizzes- The first is 29-questions on infectious diseases, while the second is 21-questions on noninfectious diseases.
I hope you find this helpful, and that it saves you time as you prepare to teach these concepts!
