Description

Some people say that M.C. Escher did the impossible! In reality, he drew many impossible figures - ones that could only exist in two dimensions. Explore the astonishing world of this genius artist of the 20th century. In addition learn about a Mobius strip and tesselations. See how Escher's work influenced popular culture and ideas.

This is a mostly self-directed art history lesson for a middle or high-school student or a home school student. The lesson is FUN while teaching some important aspects of Escher's varied work. It includes many links and a rubric for extra guidance in grading.

In addition, there is a related art project that will bring it all home.
