This was absolutely the best ice breaker activity for the first day of school. After my students completed them, we created a "puzzle" on the wall outside my classroom. The students were very proud of their work, and we got many compliments on it.
I have used this in the past, and continued it in my new school district. The students enjoy coloring and sharing abouth themselves.
Description
This is a big puzzle piece for students to fill in as a get to know you activity for the first day of school. All students are an important piece of the puzzle!
Decorate as you wish. Cut out puzzle pieces and glue/tape them together to form a wonderful classroom mural.
If new students enter your classroom you can always add to the puzzle. It's never "complete."
Idea: Have paraprofessionals, Admin, custodians, etc. fill out a puzzle piece. Everyone is important!!
