This powerful and timely immigration unit teaches CURRENT important statistics and facts about immigration in the United States. This thorough unit teaches Immigration through interesting cultural information, moving music videos, thought-provoking images, a great documentary, and learning activities that will make students reflect and think about this topic.
The lesson plan and ALL of the resources are included in this unit for Spanish classes, History classes, native speaker classes, AP Spanish or IB Spanish. Many of the documents have both English and Spanish versions included! Students will get to express their thoughts and concerns through activities like reading and responding to a letter from a little boy who is separated from his detained immigrant mother.

This US inmigracion unit teaches current information about where immigrants are from, DACA, current border information & US policy, coyotes, the Minutemen who patrol the border, and much more. Students will also learn about the contributions that immigrants make to the US. This unit includes resources that acknowledge both sides of the immigration debate, but many of the resources focus on immigration as a humanitarian issue.
