“I’m an Astronaut” is a Story Based Literacy science book written for students in special education and is suitable for K-2 learners. Story Based Literacy is a teaching technique that enables students to learn and use concepts in a more permanent way. These literacy techniques include repeat sentences, choral response, and repetition. “I’m an Astronaut” includes scripted lessons, coordinating activities, and content that cover skills across multiple curricular domains about space.
