Description

I’m Trying to Love Spiders is an informational picture book that takes a novel approach to teach fascinating facts about spiders. This book is the perfect stand-alone literacy unit or use these activities as an introduction to your unit on spiders. Nothing shouts October and Halloween quite like SPIDERS!!

This unit begins with a google slides introduction to fact and opinions. After reading the story, students make a fact and opinion spider hat or craft. Next, students have fun making spider donuts in which they must write two facts and two opinions about their treat. The vocabulary activity includes a shades of meaning lesson and a web of words. This unit also includes a book review, design your own cover activity, spider facts and paragraph writing, and color by code adjectives.
