Learn about literal and figurative idioms with this activity! Students use the idiom fun activity pages to learn about literal and figurative idioms.
The idiom pages have a sentence to help students know which is the literal meaning and which is the figurative meaning of the idiom. Students will draw a picture of the idiom and what it literally means on one page and then draw the figurative idiom on the other page. Students love to draw silly or figurative idioms!
Students love this because they learn words and phrases that have different meanings and some of the idioms are so silly! Teachers love this fun idioms activity because it is an easy and little prep activity for students, and it makes a great classroom idiom book when you are done!
Each student gets a page to illustrate their idiom. You can have students choose the idiom or assign them the idiom you would like them to do. There are 45 different idioms to choose from.
