"Identifying Your Feelings" Mini Lesson for Grades 7-12
Description
This is a short lesson that can be easily squeezed into your busy schedule to teach students about how to identify their feelings so they can distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate behaviors and practice empathy for others.
This lesson includes a music video to help better engage students and allows for a differentiation so more students have the opportunity to understand the concepts of the lesson.
This lesson also includes a short video that introduces the concepts of the lesson, 3 discussion questions, and a bonus activity!
Our goal with this lesson is to give students the skills to be resilient and able to deal with the ups and downs of life. This lesson talks about coping skills, practicing mindfulness, and how to be more empathetic.
We know how hard it can be to find time to add extra lessons into your day, and that's why we created this mini lesson. This can be completed in a short amount of time, and all of the materials are created for you with tips and instructions for each of the sections. We also identified all of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) standards that the lesson meets as well.
We hope you enjoy!
