Description

This packet targets identifying emotions. It includes print and go worksheets for three levels and an interactive book. In general, 8 emotions are targeted consistently each section: happy, sad, angry, confused, excited, scared, surprised, and tired.

Level One

There are twenty pages in this section, at least 2 for each emotion. On each worksheet, there is a real picture. The worksheet provides a space to identify how the person feels, and three visual choices so you can circle and color one. Then, on the bottom of the page, have the child identify how they know how the person feels. They should pay attention to the person's mouth, eyes, and body and write relevant clues. See the second preview picture as an example page!

Level Two

There are seventeen worksheets in this section, 2 for each emotion and one extra because I got carried away :) There is a social scenario on each page. Read it aloud, have the child identify how the person feels, and then draw the emotion on the blank face. Completely black and white! See the third preview picture as an example page!

Level Three

The last section challenges your students to apply the emotions to themselves/their lives. There is 1 page for each emotion (see above for the list). They should identify when they feel the given emotion, and then draw a picture of a time they felt that way. Completely black and white! See the last preview picture as an example page!

Bonus: Interactive Book

This interactive book file contains 16 pictures with a simple sentence starter (She feels..., he feels...) on each page. Students should find the icon that matches how the person in the picture feels and attach it to each page below the sentence starter. I like to divide the books into 2 separate books with removable icons attached using Velcro on each book.

All pages are black and white except for the level one pages and the interactive book as I utilized real pictures in these sections. Feel free to print in black & white if desired!

These pages work great laminated or in lamination pouches so you can reuse them!

PLEASE NOTE: This is a zipped file. If you need help opening the file, please click here to read a tutorial from TpT.
