Reading Circles offer another approach to novel study. Rather than study one novel as a whole class, students work in groups to study one of five different novels. Most work is done individually, and the circle is for discussion and presentation.

This Indigenous Studies Reading Circles Bundle contains five novels and two novellas (Bonus) by a single author, Richard Wagamese. writer and a reliable guide and engaging storyteller on our path toward truth and reconciliation.

The three components for evaluation are the completed questions, a 100 multiple-choice test, and the circle presentation.

I would also encourage to find a copy of Richard Wagamese's Embers: One Ojibway's Meditations and use it as a daily reading to begin the class before breaking into Reading Circles.

BONUS: It's pretty obvious that I am a Richard Wagamese fan, and while a I have few regrets in my life, one is not meeting him. Nevertheless, I have through his novels above and in the bonus "A Perfect Likeness" containing two novellas: "Him Standing" and "The Next Sure Thing."
