Description
Tasha Spillett-Sumner & Michaela Goade's book "I Sang You Down from the Stars" is beautifully written & illustrated! This story tells of a Cree mother preparing for the birth of her child and lends itself to learning 2 lovely lullabies: Ho Ho Watanay (Ojibwe) & Twinkle, Twinkle (English).
Michaela Goade is a tribal citizen of the Central Council of Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska. Her art is also seen in "Water Protectors" which is not only beautiful, but inspired by movements & protests led by Indigenous people.
