Description
This set of I Have... Who Has... cards can be used to review addition and subtraction of integers. The activity will engage all students in solving the problems.
The set of cards can be divided into sets of 10, 15, 20, or 25 cards. So it can be used in a class with 15 students, 20 students, or 25 students. (Or some students can be given more than one card.) Each students gets a card and anyone can begin the activity by reading their Who Has ... All the rest of the students listen to the problem and solve it. If they have the answer, they announce the answer by saying "I have..." and then read the new question. The activity continues until the last person reads their question. The answer to the last card will be on the first card that was read.
It is easy to sort the cards into the various size sets by using either the heart (25), diamond(10), club(15), or spade(20) at the bottom of each card.
This activity is appropriate for middle school students or high school students for remediation.
This activity includes two sets of cards: one with number lines and one without number lines and a master copy of all cards. The master copy illustrates the zero property.
