Description
This lesson covers hygiene for elementary school students. It includes wearing clean clothes, washing their feet, washing their hair, oral hygiene and a special segment on when and how to wash their hands to stay healthy. "Clean me Up" activity by circling the things a boy needs to do to get clean, after falling in a mud puddle. "Personal Care Plan" along with coloring pages are the activities included in this lesson. clip art, printables. No prep needed. Distance learning appropriate. Please note this lesson does NOT address Covid19. A separate lesson plan is available for that.
Easel assessment is included with lesson.
CDC STANDARD SEVEN: Students will demonstrate the ability to practice health enhancing behaviors and to avoid or reduce health risks
Learning outcomes:
Students will learn why they need to wear clean clothes
Students will understand how feet and shoes develop unpleasant odors and how to keep them clean and odor free
Students will realize the importance of keeping their hair clean
Students will learn why bathing often is important
Students will comprehend the importance of brushing their teeth, and how to do it correctly
Students will understand why washing their hands is an important step in keeping healthy
