Directions/Ideas for Use:

1. Print on cardstock, laminate or place in a sheet protector for durability.

2. Poem—children can find sight words, letters, beginning sounds, digraphs, blends, rhymes, count syllables, or count the number of sentences or words in a sentence.

3. Retelling hive, flower, and bees—cut out the bees, hive, and flower and have children retell the poem. You could cut out the bees and tape the bees to popsicle sticks. Use them as puppets to retell.

4. Hang the Parts of a Honey Bee and Honey Bee Life Cycle Posters in your classroom for teaching and reference.

5. Parts of a honey bee cut & paste—children cut out the parts of the honey bee labels and paste them to the correct place on the honey bee labeling page.

6. Honey Bee Life Cycle Puzzle & Match Mat—Cut out the life cycle pieces and have children place them in the correct place on the puzzle match mat.
