Human Growth & Development: Early Childhood/Toddler Motor Skills Project

Fun & engaging project where students create a presentation on a childhood toy.

• First, students will select an age group (choices: birth to 3 months, 3 months to 6 months, 6 months to 1 year, 1 year to 18 months, 18 months to 2 years, and 2 to 3 years).
• Second, students will select an age-appropriate toy.
• Third, students will decide if the toy enhances gross or fine motor skills.
• Fourth, students will discuss if the toy promotes cognitive development.
• Lastly, students will create a 5 slide presentation using PowerPoint or Prezi.

Download includes detailed instructions and a grading rubric.

Optional (not included in download)- students can present their presentations to the class and even bring in the toy for extra credit.
