Human Development and Sexual Health Workbook (Grade 3 Health)

This workbook covers the Human Development and Sexual Health unit in the Grade 3 Ontario Health Curriculum (2019).

In this workbook, students will learn about the uniqueness of human beings, celebrating both visible and invisible differences while avoiding assumptions. Through understanding human development, factors influencing it, and the importance of sleep, healthy eating, and exercise, they'll explore ways to maintain physical and mental well-being.

Worksheets are included on building healthy relationships, understanding conflicts, practicing consent, and standing against bullying empower students to cultivate inclusivity, respect, and empathy. With interactive activities like a sleep tracker, exercise log, conflict-solving exercises, and reflections on body image and self-love, this workbook guides students towards fostering a positive self-concept and nurturing meaningful connections with others.

There is a variety of readings, short answer questions, cut-and-paste activities, and drawing prompts included to create a varied workbook suitable for many learning styles.

To support assessment practices, Ontario curriculum expectations are clearly identified on each page. A unit test is included at the end of the workbook.
