Description

This is a sort that covers 8 body systems with their functions and parts. It is set up to be scaffolded and difficulty can be increased, thus differentiation is very easy to accomplish. The systems included are:

skeletal muscular integumentary nervous endocrine
respiratory circulatory digestive excretory

Page 1 of this document contains the completed answer key, page 2 is the sorting mat and page 3 has the pieces that get cut apart and placed on the sorting mat. When I use this activity in my classroom, I add the systems to the set as we go through them. I also increase the difficulty as we use the mat more. In the beginning, I have all 3 parts and both functions intact. As the students practice with the sorting mat more, I cut the parts and functions apart .

This is an editable document created in Microsoft Publisher so you can adapt it for your classroom. The PDF is available upon request if needed.
