What educators are saying

This was a great group project. I did have to reiterate the instructions several times, and redirect them to their guide. Overall, the students were engaged and did a good job at putting it together.

Description

This Create-a-BIG-Poster: Four Tissue Types, is an excellent tool to help students grasp the locations, functions, and structures of the four main tissue types: Muscle, Epithelial, Nervous, and Connective.

In this project, students will explore: key terminology, cell structure, functions, locations, and organization related to the tissue types!

I love posters because they’re a little more engaging and creative than traditional worksheets, and they allow students to really surprise you with their knowledge and levels of creativity.

Project Includes:

*A poster template that is printed on 8 pages, then taped together

*Student guide for poster completion

*Rubric for easy grading

*Example poster

*A few teacher notes

Why You’ll Love It:

Can be used as an individual or group project

Good for reviewing anatomy and body metabolism as a whole

Students love projects that break away from traditional worksheets.

There is a degree of freedom and creativity in posters, as students can design how they want and even choose certain elements to be included on the poster.

You get a great idea of how much students understand about body tissues!
