Description

This lesson plan addresses the difficulty of making friends and keeping them in Middle School. The lesson is centered primarily on the actions a student can take to modify or change their behaviors to become a better friend. Clip art, printables, no prep needed. Easel assessment is included with this lesson plan.

CDC SHEALTH STANDARD FOUR ; Students will demonstrate the ability to use interpersonal communication skills to enhance health and avoid or reduce health risks

Included is:

"3 ways to start making friends,"

Joining a group, a club, a sport, or volunteering,

Also included is body language; smiling, make eye contact, and how to start a conversation,

Information on how to be a good friend,

How to choose your friends wisely.

Additional "Question and Answer" section, on some of the most commonly asked questions by students on making friends. 3 activities, with one being a group activity and a writing prompt, assessment and answer key, printables, no prep needed
