Description

In grades 7 and 8, Common Core standards emphasize the need to be able to evaluate the strength of arguments based on sound reasoning and sufficient evidence.

There's just one problem: most students don't know what reasoning is, can't identify it in a passage and struggle to identify evidence as well.

To the rescue comes this worksheet which identifies all of these terms and provides practice in identifying them within demanding authentic speeches from history. Your students will flex their argument evaluation skills! And they'll be that much more prepared for the exam!
